Hare (Spring)A kangaroo-like rodent with powerful hind legs for hopping. The forelegs are used to excavate burrows and digging for roots, which, together with grass, form their mainstay. They have a long, bushy, black-tipped tail and large, pointed ears. The coat is reddish to yellow, with pale underparts. Forming loose colonies in open grassland, Spring Hares rest in their burrows by day.
