Marabou Stork

Marabou Stork image. Looking like a Muppet character of an undertaker, the Marabou Stork is a common sight along with vultures at Lion or Hyena kills. Although they have a similar lifestyle to vultures, there are many fewer Marabous. They can be seen soaring at great heights looking for carcasses to feed on, or roosting community in trees at night. Although they are common in Serengeti, they are rare outside the park, with approximately 300 breeding pairs in all of Kenya.
