Zorilla image. The African version of a skunk, being much broader than a weasel with longer, more muscular legs and a bushy tail. It has 4 longitudinal white stripes on the upper parts, jet black legs and underparts and a white tail and spot on the forehead. Woodland, savanna with undergrowth, and grassland kept short by herbivores are typical habitats for the Zorilla. Its diet is formed of vertebrates up to the size of rabbits, and insects, which form the mainstay. These nocturnal, solitary animals are often killed on the road.
